Angela is a retired IT Lecturer with a passion for ceramics who works from her studios in Stokenchurch in Buckinghamshire and in the Haute-Garonne in France. Her work is hand thrown using stoneware clay and fired in an electric kiln. She has recently been experimenting with barrel firing, where her pots are burnished and then biscuit fired to around 900-1000°C prior to barrel firing. She enjoys experimenting with wrapping organic matter such as citrus slices, tea bags, salt rags and copper wire around the pots before placing in the barrel. This creates unique and interesting patterns on the fired pots.
