Sophie started working with clay after taking some evening classes in 2013. She makes coiled vessels and vases - a slow, tactile process which connects one with the clay. She works intuitively and designs through making. Her work is influenced by ancient Greek pottery, Japanese and Korean pottery, and the female form. Her primary aim is to make an object she finds beautiful and balanced.
