On Thursday 26th May 2022, Keeeps opened its first pottery store and studio in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
Many of our loyal Keeepers will know that this has been a huge project and one that has been in the making for around 10 months.
Renovating and lovingly restoring a listed building has thrown us so many challenges, but we are so happy with the result.
On Thursday, the Mayor of Marlow kindly visited the store to cut the ribbon and declare the store as open for business.
Once the doors were open, we began to welcome our first customers (with a glass of bubbly of course!) who walked around open-mouthed, completely bedazzled by the transformation of the building, and of course by the stunning handmade pottery and the gorgeous light-filled pottery studios upstairs.
Over the weekend, we gave tours of the whole building to customers as well as offering pottery class demonstrations, and we had many great conversations with our lovely locals, who were so welcoming and excited by Keeeps’ arrival to Marlow High Street.
It was a really special week, especially for our founder Tamra, who has worked tirelessly on this project, and watched her vision and passion come to life. It’s not been an easy project and she has rolled with every challenge all with a smile on her face.
However, such a huge accomplishment can never be done by one person, Tamra extends the BIGGEST thank you to the entire Keeeps Marlow team, who have worked so hard in getting the shop open, and making it look so fantastic.
