Whilst we aim to accommodate our customers on a more personal and friendly basis, in certain areas we have need to adopt strict guidelines for the studio to be a safe and comfortable environment for everyone to use.
Please ensure you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions before you book a Keeeps class or course.

Cancellation by you
Classes
Cancellation by you with notice of at least 7 days prior to the class date, will mean that you can either receive a full refund or transfer your class to a more suitable date. To cancel, you can do so using the link provided in your confirmation email.
For cancellations with prior notice of less than 7 days but more than 4 days from a booked class, you will have the option of rearranging your class, and transferring this to a more suitable date but no refund will be offered.
To cancel or transfer, you must click the relevant link on your email confirmation.
For cancellations within 7 days of the class date, you may name a substitution (see Substitutions below) but a refund or transfer at this stage will not be possible.
Courses
When we refer to the ‘course’, this includes all classes/sessions which are included in the course. For the avoidance of doubt, these rules only apply prior to the first class of the course. After this, the remaining classes in the course are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Cancellation by you with notice of at least 7 days prior to the course start date, will mean that you can either receive a full refund or transfer to an alternative course (subject to availability), by using the link provided in your confirmation email.
Refunds will not be available where less than 7 days’ notice is given prior to the course start date.
You will have the option of transferring to an alternative course where less than 7 days, but more than 4 days’ notice is given in advance of the course start date.
For cancellations within 7 days of the course start date, you may name a substitution (see Substitutions below) or allow us to open up the waitlist so you may defer your attendance (see Waitlist Substitution below). If no replacement can be found, no transfer will be offered.
It is important that when you book a course, that you can attend all sessions/classes within that course. If you cannot make one of the classes in the course, you will not receive a refund of that part of the course. You cannot make any substitutions for individual classes on a course, nor can these be transferred to another class or session or person. You can continue with the course if you miss a session and book a Course-Catch-Up session which is charged at an hourly rate. Contact hello@keeeps.co.uk to book a Course-Catch-Up session.
Cancellation by us
If we cancel your course or session for any reason, we will do our best to organise an alternative date within a reasonable period of time. If this is not possible, or you are unable to attend an alternative date, we will refund the full purchase price.
Keeeps will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from amendments or cancellation of any class or course.
Substitutions
You may name a substitute attendee at any time before the class or course begins, at no additional cost. Please notify us in writing by email to hello@keeeps.co.uk of the substitute’s name, email address and phone number, ensuring confirmation of receipt received. Please note however, only original bookings (and not transfer classes) can be attended by a substitute.
Waitlist Substitutions
Within 4 days of the class or course start date, Keeeps runs a waitlist which can be opened up should you need to transfer your date. In order to open up the waitlist, please contact hello@keeeps.co.uk as soon as possible. If an alternative customer on the waitlist is able to take your place, you may transfer your attendance to an alternative date within 45 days of the original class booking.
Transfers
Requests to transfer to an alternative class or course can be made by clicking the relevant link on your confirmation email. Transfers may be made, if places are available, up to 4 days before the class or course start date.
The class or course to which you transfer must be the same class or course type and taken within 45 days of the original class or course booking. A substitute cannot attend the transferred booking, this must be the original attendee.
Transfers are subject to availability and Keeeps is not obliged to ensure suitable alternatives are available. If your request is made less than 4 days before the class, we regret that we cannot transfer your booking unless you contact us to open up the waitlist and an alternative attendee is found. A booking can only be transferred on one occasion. Requests for subsequent transfers will be treated as cancellations.
Studio Closure
If the studio is forced to close due to factors outside of our control such as severe weather conditions, force majeure, or an infectious disease such as Covid-19 we are afraid we are not able to offer any refunds but will use all reasonable endeavours to find a suitable alternative for you.
Late Attendance
You must arrive 10 minutes in advance of the start time of your class or course. It is your responsibility to arrive ahead and in time for your booked class or course. It is down to the discretion of Keeeps staff to not accept a late arrival to a course if their late arrival is potentially detrimental to fellow students.
If late arrival is not accepted, this will be treated as a late cancellation, for which the full class or course fee will be payable.
Photography
We take photos and videos of our students enjoying their classes and courses at the studio as well as of student work. These are often used on social media, our website and in our marketing materials. If you would rather not be involved in this, please let us know in advance of your class.
Technical issues and breakages
Only the Keeeps experienced and trained technicians will handle and fire your ceramic work. We will notify you if we feel any of your pieces do not meet the standard required to survive a firing. However, as is the nature of ceramics, particularly for those new to pottery, there is always the risk of technical failure and breakages for which we cannot be held responsible.
Collection of Works
Your work will be fired by the Keeeps team and will be available for collection 4-6 weeks after your class, or from the final day of your course, or 2-3 weeks after a pottery painting class. You will be notified by email or phone when your work is ready for collection. It is your responsibility to ensure we have your correct contact details and that you check your answerphone messages and email inboxes for notification of collection. If for any reason you do not hear from us 6 weeks after your last class, please contact us on hello@keeeps.co.uk.
If you attend a class or course from further afield and are unable to collect, we can package and post this to you at postage cost, but we cannot accept any responsibility for damage in transit.
Unfortunately, due to limited space, if your work is not collected or posted to you within 3 months of the end of the class or course, we will sadly have to dispose of it.
Health and Safety
Users of the studio do so at their own risk with awareness of the inherent hazards of a pottery studio environment e.g. the presence of oxides.
Keeeps takes a serious approach towards health and safety for the sake of all staff and students. Students use the studio at their own risk, with awareness of the inherent hazards of a studio environment, which include, but are not limited to, use of sharp tools and sharp edges, exposure to toxic materials, the dangers of using materials and equipment at high temperatures, and the risks associated with breathing dust.
You should wear appropriate clothing in the studio, including suitable ‘closed toe’ shoes. You should also wear your hair tied back if applicable and have sensible nail length if your class or course includes wheel throwing.
Whilst you will be provided with an apron, you should wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or dusty. You are also welcome to bring a dust mask if you feel this is required.
Security and Theft
Please be aware that there are no lockers provided on site. You will be required to remove any hand or wrist jewellery when operating the pottery wheels. We advise that all valuables are left at home. You are responsible for your personal property and Keeeps accepts no liability for any loss or damage of any personal belongings.
Environment and Recycling
We try to run a zero-waste studio. All materials are reused or recycled wherever possible. We have clay traps in the studio sinks but clay, glaze and sedimentary materials are never to be poured down sinks in the WCs. Please ensure that the correct bins are used when disposing of any materials.
Data Protection
Any personal information you give to us will be processed in accordance EU GDPR. We will use the information to process your booking, to provide the course and to inform you about similar courses which we provide, unless you tell us that you do not want to receive this information. More details can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English law and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be settled by the English courts.
Injecting creativity
If you tread water and do what you do without innovation or creativity, two things will happen. First, your team will get bored and feel like no-one is listening. Secondly, the competition will move fast and take your customers from under you, and before you know it, your staff will be off to them too.
Creativity is relevant to products and services, to processes and procedures, people engagement, and most of all it is about fun, differentiation and survival in a fast-paced world. Keeeps can help you get playful and put the buzz back into your business.
Strategy & direction
It's an overused word but if you don't have a plan or you have not communicated it, then how do you and others know where you are going? You can't keep checking all the pieces are in place - everyone needs to be striving for the same business goals.
We help you ascertain the purpose and direction of your business so your whole team and all your stakeholders are there with you on your journey.
Change management
You know things need to change but where do you start? We will work out what needs changing, what doesn't, what you do well, what you don't need to be doing. And many more important questions that you actually already know the answer to.
Then the work begins to facilitate change. It won't be easy because you will need your team to be with you on this, but we will hold your hand in making this transition as smooth as possible.
People & succession planning
The most important part of your business is the people within it. It is ALL about your people.
Are you getting frustrated with their lack of care? Do you wish they would be more conscientious? Do you struggle to retain good people? Do you want direction on how best to reward them? Who are the people you need to develop to take more responsibility for the future?
All of these challenges are surmountable if you are willing to look deeper. We will dig out the home truths and help you become more people-focused, while maximising productivity and job satisfaction.
