Kids After School Pottery Club (5 weeks, once/week)

This weekly educational pottery course for kids is designed to encourage endless imagination, teach resilience and persistence, and allow independent creativity under the guidance of an expert potter. This is a pottery making club, conveniently scheduled after school hours, where kids will make ceramics from scratch and not just paint pottery.

Each half term we explore a different theme and use techniques from coiling, slabbing and pinching, to decorating and underglazing. Exploring 3D design and sculpting with clay is a great introduction to design and functional forms and so it suits creative, practical or expressive kids.

We guarantee your kids will finish each club session feeling inspired, proud, positive, calm and happy. They will also develop fine motor skills, problem solving skills, initiative, and curiosity. Plus, they get to keep their lovely pieces and are awarded a certificate on completion of each half term course!

Courses are suitable for repeat bookings and you will see their work improve quickly  and their confidence grow. Pieces will be fired on their behalf by the Keeeps team and can either be collected or posted to you 4-6 weeks after the course ends.

Upcoming courses (see dates and times in the date selector):

Funky Food Sculptures - April/May 2024

Time to get sculpting your favourite food! From sushi to burgers to doughnuts - this will create fun conversations and really test their skills for textures and scale. An awareness of what we eat, where it comes from, and what's healthy - all super important life skills for your little ones. And not only, that, they get to go wild with their imagination!

A mindful and creative course with a chance for each child to create their own unique sculptures.

Under the Sea! – June/July 2024

Endless creativity options with this amazing underwater theme - from sea creatures to objects with sealife decorations, this will really get the kids imaginations going. We will be challenging the kids to give their creations functional uses too – whether it is a oyster shell dish or a mermaid egg cup, we can’t wait to see what they create.
